As an athlete one of the most important and fundamental steps in terms of planning effective training is to understand the physiological components of your chosen event / goal.

At North Human Performance we have extensive experience into the physiological demands of endurance cycling. From road racing to time trials, sprint distance triathlons, to ultra distance events. We fully understand the physiological components of each event and what physiological systems you need to stress in order to succeed.

Over the years we’ve seen many athletes commit to their training, they put the work in but struggle to create that synergy. They will do certain session’s which have a positive impact and session’s which have a detrimental impact on the parts of the physiology they need to target.

The biggest limiter for most athletes is time and this is why it’s vitally important to target the correct parts of your physiology. You want to maximise your training time so you can drive that performance as far as possible.

The difficult thing for most athletes is understanding what the true demands of your event are and if you are achieving the desired response from your training and this is where North Human Performance comes in. The first step into our consultation process is to delve deep into the demands of your event. The next step is to establish what training you have been doing and what areas of improvement we can pick up before we commence the physiological testing.

Once we’ve gathered this information it’s time to look under the hood and create a 360 degree metabolic profile. This metabolic profile will allow us to fully understand your unique physiology and the response your training has had up to this point. Armed with this knowledge we leave no stone unturned in terms of the guidance and direction we offer to help you move forward. Our goal is to create clarity moving forward with your training so you can target the parts of your physiology that will have the biggest and most positive impact.
